About Me!

My name is Heather Nelson, and I am an aspiring physical education teacher who enjoys being active and sharing my love of movement with students. I have always loved sports, especially when I was playing softball in my childhood into young adulthood. Being part of a team and competing in sports is what has made me appreciate physical activity in a deeper way.

I also really enjoy watching sports like baseball, football, and basketball. I love how fun and engaging sports can be and aspire to bring that energy into my lessons every time I teach.

As a teacher, one of my biggest priorities is creating a positive and inclusive environment, where all students feel comfortable participating. I know that students have different experiences and skill levels, so I focus on making sure activities can be for all students, so that everyone can be successful.

Overall, I want my classroom to be a place where students can move, try new things, and enjoy being active without pressure. My goal is for every student to leave physical education feeling more confident and positive about physical activity.
