Professional Growth and Future Application
Throughout FNES 718, my understanding of technology integration in physical education has evolved from viewing it as optional to use in my classes to recognizing it as an essential instructional tool. I have developed a deeper appreciation for how technology can support all three domains of learning: psychomotor, cognitive, and affective.
In the psychomotor domain, technology provides students with opportunities to refine motor skills through visual feedback and performance analysis. In the cognitive domain, it supports understanding through reflection, data tracking, and goal setting. In the affective domain, it increases motivation, engagement, and gives students ownership of their learning.
This course has also strengthened my understanding of CSPAP as a comprehensive framework for promoting physical activity across the entire school environment. Moving forward, I intend to integrate technology into both physical education, as well as school-wide physical activity initiatives. My goal is to create a learning environment that goes beyond the gymnasium and allows for lifelong engagement in physical activity.
