CSPAP-Aligned School-Wide Physical Activity
Technology also plays a critical role in extending physical activity beyond Physical Education class and supporting the broader goals of CSPAP. These applications promote movement in classrooms, homes, and among school staff.

Family Fitness Challenges (Family and Community Engagement)
Family fitness challenges use technology to connect activities done in school with the homes of students. Students and families use fitness tracking apps or digital activity logs at home and within the community. These challenges occur weekly or monthly. The purpose of this approach is to help strengthen family engagement in physical activity and promote shared health and wellness. Families participate in these movement challenges, such as step goals or activity minutes, and track progress digitally, allowing students to continue to live heathy lives in and out of the school environment.

Classroom Movement Break Activities (Physical Activity During School)
Technology-based movement breaks are used to increase physical activity during the school day. Classroom teachers and students use guided activity videos in general education classrooms. These are used in between academic lessons or during transitions. This strategy is beneficial because it reduces the amount of time that students are sedentary and improves student focus and behavior. Teachers play short movement videos that guide students through structured physical activity breaks.

Staff Wellness Technology Challenges (Staff Involvement)
Staff wellness initiatives use technology to promote physical activity among school staff. Teachers and staff use wellness apps or step-tracking platforms throughout the school environment. These challenges occur monthly or can be across defined time periods. The purpose is to create a culture of health and model active lifestyles for students. Staff participate in school-wide wellness competitions, tracking activity levels and engaging in friendly challenges.
